Have found a smaller, older, cheaper and cuter substitute for the Bambi light! Should I get them or not? I have fallen in love with them!
Update: 020210, am leaving them be. My John Clappison Hornsea ashtray arrived in the post today and am very happy!

John Clappison
I have just 'discovered' John Clappison! Partly down to H Is For Home, their blog is excellent and whenever you look for something like Hornsea in Google images, their images are always there in abundance! Anyway, I love his style, I have just bought my first ever Ebay purchase which is Hornsea but was designed by him! (The bird ashtray I blogged about before.) I can't wait for it to arrive in the post!

I really want this bag!
Just found the Gillian Kyle website and she has a thing about Tunnocks Teacakes and so do I! I love their retro packaging, it's only retro because it hasn't changed! She sells this metallic shopper and I LOVE it but cannot possibly justify buying ANOTHER bag :o(

Cardigan!
Discovered this site via All Things Considered, what a great idea! "Anything can be created from yarn as long as it is made with love." My favourite was this one and it's clever play on words.

The East Beach Cafe, Littlehampton
A very inspiring and unusual piece of architecture on the South Coast - it is great to see something different that has been designed with imagination and flair, I do get very bored of the same red brick blocks of flats going up everywhere... I think this was inspired by driftwood and I have always wanted to find a beautiful sculptural piece of driftwood on the beach but no luck yet!
The story of the building is here and I might add, the food is great! It does get busy though...!

Hell's Kitchen Flea Market
I would LOVE to go here, I wish I had known about this when I went to New York last year. Still it's a reason (one of many!) to go back, to coin a phrase I HEART NY.

Orla Kiely
I keep thinking of things I must add to my blog that I love and the latest is the work of Orla Kiely, she is great and very talented. I lust after her bags but they are sadly out of my price range... one day!

I Heart Hornsea
I love picking up the odd bit of Hornsea pottery in charity shops, I am a sucker for 60s and 70s design! Found this pic on the web (courtesy of H Is For Home), I want one!
