Saltdean

Saltdean near Brighton has some beautiful buildings, I have been there once as my friend lives there but I really must return and investigate further!

Firstly Saltdean Lido, image from the RIBA architecture.com website:

Then this old hotel, now converted to apartments:

And finally this building that caught my eye when I was there:

High and Over

High and Over in Amersham is a beautiful house in my opinion - it is considered to be the first modern style house to be built in this country and it is for sale! It was designed in 1929 and caused more than a few raised eyebrows when it was built. It was divided into 2 properties in the 60s but is now one house again and is on the market.... if only 'sigh'.

The De La Warr Pavilion

De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea - I LOVE it here and can never stop taking photos of it when I visit which isn't often enough. It is such a beautiful piece of architecture, I wish this much care and consideration was put into many of the new buildings constructed today.
